The Honourable Justice John Sackar is a current Judge of the Supreme Court of New South Wales.

Justice Sackar was an Australian Queen’s Counsel who also appeared in the courts of London and Brunei.

A graduate of the University of Sydney with Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws degrees, Justice Sackar was admitted as a barrister in New South Wales in 1975. After 12 years, at the age of 38, he was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1987. He practised as a QC for the next 25 years.

Justice Sackar was appointed as a Judge of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in February 2011 and sits in the Equity Division.
